16/07/2020 Press release
New Director for Communication & Public Affairs at TOTAL Deutschland
Berlin, July 16, 2020 – Delphine Saucier has been head of the Communication & Public Affairs Directorate at TOTAL Deutschland since July 1. She succeeds Burkhard Reuss, who after nine years as head of corporate communications in Berlin has taken over new responsibilities at the Public Affairs department of the Total Group in Brussels.
Delphine Saucier was most recently responsible for Total's communications in Southwest France at Total's research center in Pau. There she was responsible for external/internal communications, public affairs and crisis management as well as for major sponsoring activities (2017-2020).
"I started my career at Total in Germany. Back in the nineties, I experienced exciting times in the new federal states. I am very happy to be 'back again' after a long time", explains the Parisian, who studied finance and worked in the areas of finance and strategy before taking on various positions in strategic communications in France, Germany and Belgium from 2004 onwards. Delphine Saucier was already head of corporate communications at TOTAL Deutschland from 2006 to 2011. Prior to this, she contributed to the development of today's Total Raffinerie Mitteldeutschland in Leuna through her communications work from 1994 to 1998.
Delphine Saucier is looking forward to her future work: "The Total Group recently set itself the goal of climate neutrality by 2050. Within the Total Group, Germany is known for its innovative market. With our hydrogen filling station network – the first H2 station opened as early as in 2002 – TOTAL Deutschland is a pioneer within the Group. We are also investing massively in charging station infrastructure including high power charging. These are just a few of the many developments that Total is actively promoting in Germany and worldwide in the field of new energies and alternative fuels. There is a lot to report, both internally and externally."
