Change at the top of TOTAL Deutschland GmbH - Christian Cabrol takes over management from Bruno Daude-Lagrave
Berlin, October 7, 2020
Christian Cabrol has taken over the management of TOTAL Deutschland GmbH as of 1 October 2020. He succeeds Bruno Daude-Lagrave, who has led the German affiliate of the Marketing & Services branch since 2016 and will now take over the management of the Group’s Compensation & Benefits division in Paris.
Christian Cabrol was most recently responsible for the Total Group’s Marketing & Services branch for the Asia-Pacific and Middle East region from Singapore. The graduate engineer has worked for the Group for more than 30 years and has held management positions in various departments, including Strategy and Development, Logistics and Supply, Lubricants and Sales Networks. In addition to France and North America, he worked in Asia for a long time.
Under the leadership of Bruno Daude-Lagrave, TOTAL Deutschland GmbH was able to steadily expand its network of service stations, especially in southern Germany and regarding lorry-friendly stations and truck stops. The last four years were also defined by the further expansion of the affiliate’s strong position in the bitumen market as well as the reorganization of commercial sales. A recent highlight was the launch of the Mobility & New Energies directorate at the beginning of 2020. The new structure is a key element in enabling TOTAL Deutschland to actively support its business and private customers in their new mobility needs and the energy transition. This is consistent with the Total Group’s ambition to get to net-zero emissions by 2050 together with society for its global business across its production and energy products used by its customers.
Christian Cabrol: “The expansion of TOTAL Deutschland’s commitment in the area of new energy sources and new mobility concepts will be a significant task for me in the years to come. We have a lot of plans, especially when it comes to electromobility. In addition to the nationwide expansion of our hydrogen service stations, we want to set up an efficient network of ultra-fast charging stations along the motorways. We focus on offering our B2B customers charging infrastructure and services in the field of electromobility outside our filling stations and supporting them on the way to climate neutrality. I am very much looking forward to this new challenge and the work in Germany.
Bruno Daude-Lagrave: “I look back on four eventful years in which TOTAL Deutschland GmbH has undergone a great development. We have been able to further increase our competitiveness in individual business areas, significantly advance the expansion and modernization of our service station network and take a decisive step towards our goal of providing the energy for future mobility. This result is the achievement of a dedicated team. I would like to sincerely thank all employees and partners for this.”
