TOTAL Continues Strong Network Growth

For the fifth time in a row TOTAL is continuing with the expansion of its national service station network. Last year, the network was expanded by 31 stations. The Manager of TOTAL Deutschland GmbH, Hans-Christian Gützkow, simultaneously announced an increase in investments for 2016.

Since 2012 TOTAL has been able to expand its service station network in Germany by 140 stations to presently 1,178 service stations (as per Jan. 1, 2016). The strategic growth focused particularly on the economically strong regions such as the southern German federal states and the northwestern states, where traditionally TOTAL’s presence has been less strong.
“This year we will again invest in the expansion of our service station network”, said Gützkow. In addition to nine new buildings TOTAL also added 22 newly acquired partner stations with medium-sized businesses to its network in 2015.
The Service Station Manager of TOTAL, Guillaume Larroque, stressed, “We want to further consolidate our position on the German service station market and are looking for partnerships with medium-sized businesses. Our goal remains to reach a market share of ten percent in Germany in 2018! And over the past several years we have been making good headway.”

First Construction of Service Station in 2016 Opens in Munich-Schwabing

Next Tuesday, January 19, the first service station in 2016 will be added to the network through the new construction in Lerchenauer Straße in Munich-Schwabing. In order to attain the set growth goals we have already started construction work at diverse sites. Moreover, in the next several years the existing TOTAL service stations will be increasingly renovated and will be given the new service station design T-Air which has been introduced for new buildings since 2012.
In 2015 the brand TOTAL also celebrated its 60th anniversary in Germany after the successful market entry of the “German Total” in 1955 and is well equipped for the future with its service station concept which has been systematically overhauled in past years. This includes new shop and service offers as well as pilot plants for hydrogen, electro fast charging stations or even car AdBlue gas pumps.
